This website consists of two main parts:
this section contains historical evidence that Jesus had lived among humans, that he had claimed to be the Son of God, that there are plenty of evidence that supports this amazing claim, that there are ironclad evidence that Jesus did died, that he was buried in a well-known tomb, that he was seen by many of his followers after he has died, that he was even seen by some non-believers after he has died and so doing changed these unbelievers life completely.
The historical evidence were studied thoroughly by Biblical scholars and they have found them to be the most accurate historical documents that exist today.
This section contains evidence from biology, bio-chemistry, physics, astronomy, and astro-physics that points towards the fact that life on earth and the universe were designed. These evidences that points towards the fact that life on earth and the universe and the laws of physics have been exquisitely designed and did not came by by a random process is extremely strong - the probability that these came about by random processes is virtually ZERO (some number with a few trillion trillion trillion.... zero in front of it). The scientific community finds this so inexplicable that they have coin a term to describe this phenomenon: anthropic principle: everything in nature are designed to support human life....
There are additional material that are interesting but not well described (incomplete). But the main body of the website is pretty much complete.
Reasonable Faith:
Reason is defined in some dictionary as:
So what kind of answer was Peter talking about when someone ask you why you believe in Jesus ? Clearly, the answer is ``I believe in Jesus because He died for my sins''. But how do you know Jesus did that ? I mean: does your reason tells you that it is so ? Do you have any convincing evidence that Jesus did die for your sins ? For example, if you find a name on "the Wall" which is the The National Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., you have a very convincing evidence that that person fought and died in the Vietnam War. What do you have that tells you that Jesus died for your sin so you should worship him as God ?
Is your faith in Jesus based simply on the fact that your friends, your pastors or your parents told you so and the fact that you trust them ? Or you believe everything you read and you happen to read the Bible ? Your faith may start with what someone tells you, but if your faith is still only based on what someone tells you after many many years, then your faith is not based on your reason, but trust - an emotional basis. And if you read the Bible and believed it, why don't you try reading the Koran - Islam's holy book where it said that Jesus was just a mortal man. Why don't you believe that ??? Surely, I tell you that unless you hide from everything in this world, sooner or later, you may/will discover "other truths" and your faith that is based on "trust in your friend, pastor or parents" will erode and fade. I do not believe that Peter was talking about the kind of answers that appeal to "human trust" - or human emotion. No, I think Peter was referring to concrete answers that will stand up to scrutiny - the seriously logical kind of scrutiny.
Now, Peter can say ``I believe in Jesus because He died for my sins'' because he was an eyewitness (in fact, the main reason why Peter was transformed from a coward who denied Jesus three times to a martyr who died preaching in Rome was the single event that he saw with his own eyes that Jesus die and was resurrected). His followers can believe Peter because Peter can backup his claim with super-human feats - which are usually called "miracles" (Acts 3:1-9):
So can Paul, other disciples and their followers (like Luke).
How about now ? I believe that our faith in Jesus must be still be rooted in facts - historical facts to be precise. It must not be rooted in "trust" in friends, pastors or parents. (Sure, it can start there, but it must not be rooted there). Where can we find evidence that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah), the Son of God ? Well, the Bible of course. But.... why is the Bible special ? It's just a book.... "Peter Pan" is a book, "The Lord of the Rings" is a book (a darn good one) and so is the Koran. So what is so special about the Bible ? Furthermore, the Koran claims that Jesus was just a mortal, was just one of the many prophets and messengers of God (like Mohammed) and that Jesus was not God.... etc. So is the Koran right about Jesus ??? After all, it's a book.... (And a sad fact is that most Muslims are more serious about the Koran being the words of God than an everyday "Christian" is about his Bible....). Both of them can't be right at the same time....
A good readable book on the historicity of Jesus is the book "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel and his more recent book "The Case for a Creator". I was inspired by his relentless pursuit of evidences in support of the Biblical text. Instead of traveling by airplane, I did the walking on the Internet. I have bookmarked, gathered and studied the informations from many websites all over the world, listened for countless hours to debates available on various websites. Finally, I decide to systematically arranged them in this website for posterity. In doing so, I have also added my personal touch to the material - some material (especially the Scientific Evidence) are more technical and I added more details to help the reader.
These webpages WILL NOT call upon your EMOTIONS, but ONLY upon your REASON, LOGIC and INTELLECT - since I myself cannot and will not be persuaded through emotional arguments. If you have an open mind - not one that only accepts purely materialistic arguments but one that allows for the possibility of the supernatural - you will find in these webpage that there is ample and solid evidence that the Christian faith is founded on historical facts and events. Even the universe with its exquisitely precise calibrations and life on earth whose DNA contains libraries full of encoded information, and numerous beautifully designed molecular machines in cells, provide ample support that neither the universe nor life on earth is likely to come about through random processes; but that they are in most likelihood, designed by some super-genius.
